Columbia offers a wide array of food options. If you're looking for fast food, there is plenty. Some fast food joints include McDonald's, KFC (with buffet), Burger King, Sonic, Steak 'n Shake, Wendy's, and Taco Bell. These restaurants provide a quick, cheap meal for students on the go. If you're looking for a sit-down meal with some delicious food, there is plenty of that, too. Students who are looking for great pizza frequent Shakespeare's Pizza and pasta at Murry's or the Pasta Factory, and of course, there are lots of bar-and-grill establishments, such as Sky Hi, The Deuce, and Campus Bar and Grill.

The prices at these places are very comparable, ranging anywhere from $10 to $25 per person. The location of restaurants varies a lot. Many are located downtown, while others are off of 70, and some are off of Grindstone Parkway. This may seem very scattered, but the restaurants are about a 15-minute drive from most student neighborhoods.

Campus Is Right Next Door to Downtown

This means a whole variety of restaurants are available to you within walking distance. However theres not much in the way of fast food. And when you are a freshman in college this can be a problem considering your wallet.

Dining in downtown Columbia is comparable to big cities. You'll find a diverse mix of restaurants and cafes to fit every taste preference and price range. From Indian and Chinese to pizza and hot wings, downtown Columbia is the perfect destination no matter what you're craving.

there are many places located just downtown which is within walking distance of the school. Some places seem pricey, but for the most part its fairly priced
