It is a small town, possibly the definition of such with the exception that they have a University there. Everyone is really nice, possibly overly friendly but thats the small town charm. Personally I feel like I could never live in a town this small and be this far away from everything else. I thought I came from a small town, which was a village of 10,000, and I lived 10 minutes from a city and 15 minutes from a bigger city. That's what I would look for in terms of living.

It is an small town , the city does not have much to offer but the university plans out many activities that the students can enjoy.
If you got the time and attitude you will get the best out of every single one of them

A Family Town – I love Montevallo! I love the small town atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone here, the teachers know you by name and are always willing to help. Being a small town there isn't much to do in town but within a ten to fifteen minute ride there is a movie theater, bowling, and a ton of other stuff to do. There is a park in montevallo, Orr Park, that is known for the wood carvings in the trees done by a local artist, we also go swimming there in the summer. There are basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts as well as soccer and baseball/softball fields to play a pick up game on.

The City of Montevallo itself is very small and doesn't boast very much in the way of entertainment besides maybe local bands and activities sponsored by the University. However, Montevallo is located about thirty minutes outside of Birmingham, where one can find all manner of food, music, art, and many different seasonal events like a Dia de Los Muertos event in the fall, and the acclaimed Sidewalk Film Festival in the summer.

Montevallo is a very small town and offers little aside from the actual campus itself. It is a great place to focus on arts, however not a great school for making connections in other fields and majors.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
