Reno is a small town but there is plenty to do in the area.

There are a lot of area attractions, they just cost some money if you want to partake in them. Through the university you can get a discount on a lot of activities and they host a ton of free cultural events. Reno isn't the safest city at night, but when traveling in groups it feels pretty safe. We are starting to get a bunch of nice, new stores and our sports and recreation locally is incredible. Recreating through hiking and other outdoor sports is pretty much unlimited. Locals love students.

Reno is never really thought of but it's an incredible place to be. It's beautiful and they have a bunch of random stuff happening around the city constantly. The locals are so kind to the college students and there is a student discount at most places which helps out all of us!

The University of Nevada, Reno is located smack dab in the middle of Reno were a lot of attractions go on. Nevada is known for its gambling and as appointed is one of its largest attractions for outsiders visiting.

Coming from Vegas, Reno is a breath of fresh air. There's still the casinos and downtown so it feels a bit like home, but there's trees, snow, rain, and beautiful scenery. The campus is GORGEOUS. It's beautiful. There's grass everywhere and giant trees and old buildings that are just beautiful. The quad is beautiful. The campus is just beautiful.
Unless you have a car, there's no shopping. The mall is far south and is an hour bus ride away. The McDonald's is within walking distance, but you've gotta really have a craving for fries to go for it. There's not much to do within walking distance. Nearby businesses support the Pack; Reno is like a little college town. Even the airport is decked out in Wolfpack stuff. It's pretty great.
As for outdoorsy stuff, Tahoe is not a far drive and lots of people get ski passes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
