College Prowler Take
Most students say they see marijuana use happening on a regular basis, but although drug use is basically out in the open, it’s rarely a hassle. Some students aren’t exposed to any drug use at all. The general consensus is that drugs are basically there if you want them to be. At UNH, the harder drugs are much less prevalent, and very few cases have been cited. Overall, UNH is a fairly harmless school when it comes to drugs, but ultimately the choice is up to the students.

I’m not aware of any over-usage of any drug on campus, other than marijuana. I know of a lot of people that smoke. Alcohol is definitely the number one substance used on campus. |

Drugs are a big issue with the police, as is underage drinking and transportation of alcohol. If you drink somewhere private, you’ll probably be fine. Just carry alcohol in a backpack. |

There are drugs present at UNH, just as if you went to any other campus. Pot is always big, no matter where you go, but on the other hand, I don’t want you to think that we are a bunch of hippies who just smoke up all day long. There are probably some that actually will do that, but academically, they don’t last long. For the most part, it’s pretty much under control. |
