College Prowler Take

Campus offers a lot to UNH students. The University has renovated the athletic centers, library, and numerous dorms. Several years ago, the campus opened Holloway Commons, a $26 million dining hall, and Mills Hall, a suite dorm that has five- to eight-person rooms with deluxe bathrooms and a living room in each.

UNH has many fields and two main athletic centers to accommodate the Division I sports teams on campus. Mostly due to the strength of the UNH hockey team, there's a prime ice-skating rink open to all students on campus. The rink can get a bit crowded, especially on the weekends. In fact, all the athletic facilities can be a bit crowded due to increasing student enrollment each year. But there are ways around this. Going to the gym early in the morning or late at night will greatly increase your chances of getting on the exercise machines that you want to use. Also, UNH has plans for more renovations in all its dorms. A multi-story parking garage may also be on the agenda of the campus administration in the near future. However, until more space is available, most students work around the crowded times at the gym or the pool. Overall, the students at UNH seem generally happy with the facilities provided for them.

The gym is nice but always busy. The school is quickly outgrowing the new facility. The library was brand new my freshman year, and it’s a great place to study or take a nap.

The gym (Whittemore Center) is awesome. It has to be nice, since we are Division I in sports. The student center has really good food. Sometimes I sit and do my work there because you see everyone you know.

The facilities on campus are...

The facilities on campus are top-of-the-line. The new dining hall has really good food and a nice atmosphere. There is the MUB, which is basically the student union, which is nice and has many things to do in it. The on-campus gym is really nice. They’re always adding new equipment to it. The gym is air conditioned, too, which is a plus. We also have an indoor ice rink for ice skating and activities during the winter. We have a year-round indoor pool. We also have basketball and tennis courts to use.

Facilities here are very nice. They could use a bigger gym, though, because it’s always packed. Some of the dorms and class buildings seem outdated.

The student athletic center is very nice and popular (good equipment and facilities). The computers are also pretty new. The student center (MUB) is a great building with a ton of different things to do. There are movie theaters, retail food operations, the mail room, meeting rooms and lounges, student activity offices. The list goes on and on. It is also a beautiful building.
