Advice on Finding a Job/Internship The best way to find an internship at UNH is through your major. Many of the majors offer senior internships for credit. Some internships are paid, and most are required. The UNH Career Center departments take great pride in setting students up with numerous job opportunities. Students also are assigned an advisor in their specific major who can provide the best help with internships in the student’s particular major. The campus also holds numerous job fairs for specific majors as well, which are open to anyone in those majors, and provide direct contact with employers. The Career Center is located in Hood House next to the MUB. Have a good idea of what you want to study before you get to UNH. The sooner you know, the sooner you can start planning and talking with your advisor. This also gives you plenty of time to explore options. Most importantly, don’t worry; it’s not the end of the world if you don’t know how to plan your life right off the bat. It is better to take the time to find out what you really want in life.
