If you're a freshman, then don't try parking on campus at UNH, it's as simple as that. You are not allowed to have a car on campus, and it is hard to talk the school into letting you have one. For upperclassmen, getting a permit is not hard if you register early and are content with what you get. The worst parking lot is West Edge, but that is only because it is about a mile off campus.

After the first declared snow emergency in November or December, the University prohibits parking in most campus parking lots between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. This is so the lots can be plowed efficiently before classes begin for the day.
