Health & Safety:
Personally, I Feel Safe – There are campus police on campus both on foot and in cars that patrol the area. Also, there are the blue station lights set up all over campus, so that if anyone ever did get into a threatening situation, it would be easy to quickly cntact help that would arrive at the scene fairly quickly. On campus I have never felt unsafe or afraid.

Great Availability – I have access to pretty much every resturant I could want.

Wag Is Gross – Wagoner hall has the ability to be pretty good but the staff and cooks try too hard to make it a fine dining experience instead of just a cafeteria. They never make simple food and it is always undistinguishable and often gross.

Network Is Spotty – The network access is usually fairly good but there are times when many people try to get on the internet and it is nearly impossible to get access. This is very annoying when trying to complete an assignment or write a paper.

I don't really attend the clubs often. I have better things to do, but I heard they are pretty good.

There are plenty of apartments right near campus and always places to look at with a few miles distance.

Wilmington has lots to offer with good restaurants, nice shopping locations, and 2 movie theaters. Not to mention all the attractions downtown.

More Than You Think. The apartment area I live in smells like weed regularly. I feel like our school uses the "hear no evil, see no evil" method.

All I See Is White. If you look on brochures, you will see pictures of students who are non-White... but when you come on to campus you won't see the same representation.

Only Three Freshman Dorms Are Nice. Although three of the freshman dorms are top of the line, all the other dorms (where the majority of freshman live) need to be upgraded.

The weather is half rain and half sunshine. The rain is a lot of the time unexpected though.

There's plenty of parking spaces, but you're limited to only certain places where you're allowed to park. You have a certain color on your parking permit and you can only park in a parking lot with the corresponding color.

Not Much Strictness – There's not too much campus strictness except for things like drinking. You're not allowed to drink within a 1 mile radius.

I Love UNCW – I started at UNCC and enjoyed it, however I transfered to UNCW and love it. Being at the beach everyday is great, scheduling classes so I can work, is easy. There is very little hand holding, you have to figure out the system yourself and fight for the classes you need.

Night Life – Wow, the bars are to numerous to count. The greatest part of the night life is, even if you aren't 21, you can get into the bars. They are very careful to check ID's and underage kids can still have a good time. There are plenty of taxi's that will take you where you want to go, the bus system is great and runs often so the wait time is short.

Drug Scene – I have yet to see any evidence of drugs or alcohol. the worst thing is the occasional smoker. thats all

Flaming Amis – a decent burrito and taco resturant. it does have a weekly discount day on tuesdays, but the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the tastes of the different salsas leaves much to be desired

Just Beachy – We have beaches. That is the only amazing thing about this place.
Recent Alumnus 2010-09-26T21:33:32Z
Beach but Rainy – The summers are wonderful! We are less that 5 miles from the beach! But it rains alot and the winters are very windy. Plus you have to keep in mind that because of being on the coast we are in danger if there were a hurricane.

Buses Suck – It takes forever to get anywhere and they are not reliable. They are always late or early never on time.
Recent Alumnus 2010-09-23T01:46:23Z
Not Too Many Healthy Options – There's plenty of fatty foods available on campus at Dunkin Doughnuts, Chick-Fil-A, and Varsity Grille but the vegetarian/vegan options are lacking. The only things they really offer are the salad bar and sushi. The healthy options are also the most expensive.

Parking Sucks! The parking officials are Nazis! They go out of their way to give students tickets. You can't park anywhere on campus except your assigned zone until after 4 and you can NEVER park by the dining hall or in another residential area.

Sports Are So-So – There are a lot of great club sports on campus that anyone can participate in.
The basketball program, which is the most popular, has really been hurting lately. They're in a rebuilding period and it's going to take a while before they get back to winning games.

Okay but Not Great – The library doesn't have enough computers. It's always a wait, particularly around midterm and final time.
The budget has been cut recently so a few of the printing stations have been taken away.
The wireless is great most of the time but when a lot of people are on it can run kind of slow.

Each yr the price goes up or they add more fees to the rent. I haven't looked at school to see what they have. But most apartments are on the school bus route so that is convienent
Sorry, there are no reviews.
