The on Campus Wifi Is Pretty Iffy – The wifi on campus can be tempermental. There will be random "outages", and most of the time it's at the worst times (aka - in the middle of you taking an online test!). It's always smart to make sure you have the ethernet cable plugged in when doing a major assignment/test online in your room. Ironically, during these outages, TAC will send emails out saying they are working to fix the problem as soon as possible........but you can't read those emails when you don't have internet access haha. Personally, I think the use of a personal computer is important. But that is depending on your major. I am an English major and Creative Writing minor, so writing papers is a big priority for me and I am always on my laptop. Each student is allowed $8 of iprint dollars at the beginning of each semester. So once that money runs out, you can use Seahawk Bucks for the printers or you rely on your own printer. I bought a really cheap 20$ printer at Wal-Mart that does the job for me when I'm out of iprint dollars. If you do rely on the printers on campus/library I would suggest you not wait until the last minute - because that is usually when something bad happens technically with the printers/ school computers. Besides the occassional wifi issues, campus internet is pretty good. And the library seems to have a lot of laptops for people to check out if needed.
