Our athletics are pretty great, especially men's basketball and baseball. The women's basketball games do not get as much support from the crowd, but overall UNCW's student body is proud and supportive of their athletics. Unfortunately, we do not have a football team, which is something that a lot of students wish for. It does, however, let our other sports shine. Students who do not want to or are unable to join a varsity sport can join club and intramurals. There are countless sports clubs, and they all have optimal spaces to practice in and are not discriminated against.
