I came to UNCW for the Nursing Program, which is EXCELLENT. I took a class my freshman year--Survey of Professional Nursing (totally recommend it if that's what you want to do) --that gave me a really comprehensive look at the program, how to get into it, and all it has to offer. They have state-of-the-art facilities and excellent professors! It's funny, though, I decided Nursing is not for me and I'm trying to decide what to change my major to. It's a tough decision, because all of my professors are great and so inspiring in every subject even for non-majors. The academics at UNCW are great, because students are not treated like "just a number". Class sizes are generally kept decently small, and are never taught by TAs (except labs, which is fine).
