People complain sometimes that parking sucks here, but it's not bad if you just follow the rules. The permit is kind of expensive ($330 for the year, and I think around $180 for a semester), but its worth it. You're guaranteed a spot close to where you live, and after 4pm on weekdays and all weekend, you can park anywhere on campus for free, which is sweet! It's nice to have a car for getting around Wilmington to various volunteer opportunities, or just going downtown for shopping and fun. It isn't totally necessary, though. There is a free shuttle system that goes almost anywhere you need to go. Also, the beach is just a short bike ride away!
