Freshman dorms, any recommendations?
There is a place on the uncw website where you can look at photos, floor plans, video tour , etc. I'm a freshman as well but I can tell you what I've heard/think.
Galloway is the party dorm so don't expect to get a lot of sleep (hallway style)
Graham-Hewlett (suite style) in between a normal dorm and party dorm
Haha I forgot about the others but if you scroll down you will see that I asked the same question and got some good answers.
Graham Hewlett looks awful when you don't have it decorated, but I wish I lived in it. You get your own common room (shared with only four people), which is really nice when you just want to hang out with your friends and don't have anywhere to do.
I would not recommend the suites. They're just kind of ugly and a lot of people. The apartments aren't bad, and neither is Schwartz.
I've never been in Galloway so no opinion on that.
I live in Cornerstone, which isn't bad at all. It's one of the nicest dorms. It's usually pretty quite, too, if that's what you're looking for (at least the first and second floor are).
