I am currently in the social work extension program at my university. The beginning process for my particular program was very stressful. This was the first year they accepted twice as many students. However, once classes started things began to even out. I wake up each morning excited to know that I will be learning something different. It is very comforting knowing that each of my professors has experienced what I am currently going through. They are able to give advice and lectures based on their experiences. Sometimes the workload can be a bit overwhelming, I think that this means the program is doing something right. I know that I am being challenged with my assignments which is ultimately setting me up for a career. I cannot wait for senior year and to start my internship. I am ready to use the skills I have learned and to gain experience in the social work field.
