Wilmington has the beach within 5 miles and downtown waterfront with the battleship tour, great shopping & restaurants.

Are there big shopping malls in Wilmington?

Yes, there are two malls. There's Independence Mall which is more of a student budget kind of place. There's also Mayfair with is more of an upscale, outdoor shopping centre type. I prefer Mayfair because it's nicer and outside.

Lots of bars, restaurants, and things to do around Wilmington, not in the least is the beach, of course!

U Dub is literally in between the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and downtown.
