School Spirit
All Tarheels definitely take pride in their school. School spirit on campus is infectious, with people wearing Carolina Blue on game days and getting in groups to watch the games. The atmosphere is different when there is a big loss or a big win. Carolina students enjoy celebrating big wins by rushing Franklin Street, jumping over fires, and having raging parties. This is definitely a rah-rah type of school.
Getting Tickets
Getting into most sporting events is relatively easy. All you need is your One Card (student ID), and you will be granted admission. Some sports with a huge fan base, such as basketball, work on a lottery system in which you enter online for the chance to win tickets. A few days before the game, those who got tickets are notified and sent an electronic copy, which must be brought to the game. For those who don't fare well in the lottery, there is a standby line on game day that students are welcome to stand in in hopes of getting a seat.
Best Place to Take a Walk
