Carolina has an abundance of dining options that range from vegan dishes to fast food and even sushi. UNC has been noted several times for some of the best on-campus dining, which is entirely visible at the Lenoir and Rams Head dining halls. Although there are some off days, most of the time there is so much selection that it's rare to not find something that would appease the most discriminating of appetites. Many nights during the year have a theme, giving a little extra variety to what can become tired due to frequent visits. One of the biggest drawbacks at these dining halls, however, is the lack of seating at prime times. If you are going during the busy hours, you might find yourself elbowing your way to a table.

Carolina dining also has a great number of on-campus restaurants that serve delicious foods throughout the day. One of the best kept secrets at UNC is the athletic dining hall, which is found at Kenan Stadium. Although it is only open for lunch, it has some of the best dining hall food on campus, and it accepts regular meal plans and flex. Overall UNC dining is a great resource for the hungry collegiate.

This dining hall, located on South Campus, remains open during the weekend and serves a majority of on-campus residents.
