Underclassmen Dorms Are the Friendliest – All of the dorms at UNC are pretty good, but in my experience, the underclassmen dorms are the most friendly because people are eager to make friends, and they are generally a little more excited to be in school. The upperclassmen dorms aren't bad; they are generally closest to classes, but people in these dorms generally already have a friend base--not that they aren't willing to make more friends or aren't actively seeking out friends.

Upperclassmen dorms are in North Campus and underclassmen dorms are in South Campus. This is a generalization. Both underclassmen and upperclassmen can, and do, stay in dorms all over campus (North and South).
