Pretty Safe – Safety is difficult for such a large campus, but I think UNC does a good job handling so many thousands of students. There are not many incidents of harassment or muggings and there are call boxes around if you feel unsafe. The only thing I'd watch out for is to stay clear of the few secluded places around campus, like the meditation garden, when it's after dark.
