I do not need to use the computer labs because I purchased the Lenovo computer offered at the beginning of my freshman year. It is a very good computer, especially for my needs. The university has wireless access throughout the campus and in dorm lounges, but the dorm rooms do not have that capability. The need for your own personal computer is advantageous. It makes it easier to take notes in classes and to do homework in your dorm room. Majority of the classes allow you to submit work online so a printer is not really essential. The university provides printing stations throughout the campus so a printer is really not needed.

you can get your own internet for your room, right?

So you are allowed to take notes with your computer in all classes?
