There are some really nice dorms and then there are some crappy dorms. Hinton James (aka Hojo) is known as the worst dorm on campus that a lot of freshmen get placed in. It is supposed to be remodeled this summer so it might look nicer. Koury, Horton, Harding, and Craige North have really nice and big rooms compared to Hojo, Ehrinhaus, and Craige which are a lot smaller. You definitely want to live on South campus as a freshman. That's where everyone seems to be and it's a lot more social. The down side is how far away it is from North Campus and all your classes, but the walk is worth it.
