UNC is very safe, but lately crime has been rising, mainly on Franklin though. With the closing of bars in Durham, many people have been flocking to UNC for the great bar scene. Security is tight and Chapel Hill is safe, but during the late late nights it can get a little sketchy. They are working hard to clean it up though so it will hopefully improve
