| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
Students should register with University Career Services as soon as they can. For those who are undecided on a major, see what Career Services has to say about what majors will work for jobs and what minors will support your major decision. Employers from all over the nation will be able to view your profile and résumé, and students can receive internship and job offers through e-mail. Be sure to attend the internship and job fairs. They are a great place to network and get job and internship applications. UNC students should not worry about finding a job after school—it’s pretty easy. University Career Services (UCS) offers help to undergrad students who either need help deciding on a major or minor, wish to find a job or internship, need help composing a résumé, want to schedule a practice (mock) interview, or need help networking. Every year UCS holds a huge internship fair open to all students. Furthermore, UNC graduates can use Career Services up to five years after they have graduated.
