Besides FAFSA, you have to fill out the CSS/PROFILE ID form. It's a lot of paperwork, but make sure to send all your stuff in by the priority deadline in order to maximize the funds you will receive. They're really good about helping out and meeting most, if not all, of your financial need. In-state student I feel have more opportunities to get financial aid with all the NC programs, but there is a way for everyone if you search hard enough.

Process Could Be Easier

I received an adequate amount of financial aid that really helped my parents and myself out since I have another sibling in college as well. The process of applying for aid was very tedious and confusing though. Several modifications had to be made to my application before it would be accepted. If the process was more straight forward it would safe everyone time and stress.

I Received an Outside Scholarship

I earned an outside scholarship that covered all costs, so I don't really have any experience with UNC's financial aid office.
