I received a good amount of aid, and the communication with the financial aid department was fast and very helpful. They clearly stated what I needed to turn in, in order for my application to go through. I was very satisfied with the speed and effectiveness of this process.

Public transportation is okay. UNC Charlotte is a commuter school, so I feel their transportation system would be used more often if they had more stops/advertised more.

There quite a few options, but the parking at UNCC is ridiculously high.

I don't really pay attention to the athletics, but we have a solid basketball team . UNCC will also debut their football team this upcoming fall.

As a freshman who is under 18 the nightlife at UNCC is non existent. Most of the parties are off campus. While there are house parties galore if you know where to go regular parties are definitely 18+. College ID means nothing if you're not over eighteen.

I love UNCC but financial aid at this school is a battle. It seems like every year there is a problem with financial aid but they do have people there that are willing to help you out.

I live on campus and have not really looked into off-campus housing.

UNCC has TONS of computers. Alot of people have their own laptops and the Wifi in the library, etc is very good. The printing system is excellent. There is no hassle or confusion with it. Very good idea. Overall, extremely happy with the computers, printers, wifi, everything.

There's a lot of options but you need a designated driver to get to anywhere for cheap

The Academics at UNCC are very good, I am a social work major and I absolutely love the classes I am taking and the groups of people I get to work with.

There are many options for transportation at UNCC between the CATS buses and Safe Ride but you have to catch the CATS bus at the right time or you will have to wait almost 45 minutes for another one! You also must call safe ride in order to be picked up by them.

Must have a 2.0 GPA til graduation. Take prechem class.
College Sophomore 2013-05-29T04:29:06Z
Technically i havent interned yet, but im supposed to volunteer at hospice hopefully it will be fun. :)
College Sophomore 2013-05-29T04:26:13Z
I think the chem teachers overall are nice if you get to know them. I wish they had a P.A. program too. :( They let alot of their previous students work as assistants in lab, so theres always that. I wish the tests werent so hard.
College Sophomore 2013-05-29T04:23:15Z
Im at UNCC and some of the people are friendly, but the classes are so big you cant ask questions unless you go to their offices during their hours and its usually when you have another class. Chem lab is pretty hard, but its fun if you know what youre doing. The english classes let you be creative, but they dont teach you anything like grammar.

The fact that there is transportation provided on campus is really good. We have shuttles as well as SafeRide which is provided for safe travel at night. However the shuttle service is not very reliable. It comes at different times, and sometimes it takes forever to come when it goes back to the hub.

Charlotte is one of the best locations to attend school in. There are literally hundreds of things to do such as going shopping in Concord, or going uptown, or going clubbing!
College Sophomore 2013-05-27T20:41:20Z
Academics are one of the strong suits. My major problem is with the professors who usually take forever to post grades.
College Junior 2013-05-24T17:04:08Z
UNCC parking is dreadful. I mean just completely horrible. You'll have nightmares about paying $450 to park and then circling parking lots for 45 minutes in search of a parking spot. I've never seen such poorly designed lots. The school should be embarrassed and ashamed.
College Junior 2013-05-24T17:00:50Z
Living off campus is cheaper than being in a dorm. There are apartments at every possible exit of the school. And on campus parking will be $450 this year, so if you can live off campus and shuttle in, you'll be saving a lot of money.
College Junior 2013-05-24T16:57:15Z
UNC Charlotte has many dining options which is great! The problem lies in expense. If you don't have a dining plan then there is a higher tax on everything on campus. If you can, it is cheaper to eat off campus or cook your own food. But if money isn't a problem, then you'll definitely find something to eat on campus that you'll be satisfied with.
College Junior 2013-05-24T16:54:09Z
The Greek system at UNC Charlotte doesn't exactly have the best reputation. I can only judge based on the horror stories I hear. If you can get past the hazing and the constant partying though, you might still have time to worry about your grades!
College Junior 2013-05-24T16:51:02Z
All of the professors in the kinesiology department are incredibly helpful and so friendly. If you ever have a problem with something, they make themselves available to you and try to help you through it.
College Junior 2013-05-24T16:47:43Z
There are some departments which are wonderful, however the chemistry department at UNC Charlotte is sub par. Most of the professors here are extremely helpful and with just an email or office visit will absolutely help you, but there are also those who are the exact opposite and will not reply to emails and who clearly don't care. The workload is what you would expect from college classes, granted it varies from class to class.
College Senior 2013-05-22T18:40:38Z
I have enjoyed some classes, but others I did not enjoy. The registration process is a nightmare. Seniors get priority and then in descends. There are not enough courses for the amount of students that attend my college.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
