The campus life is very good. The student union was built 3 years ago, and has many amenities such as a movie theater, a nice dining area, many fast food restaurants, a pool table area with flat screen tvs, and places in the upstairs to study. The student union is 3 stories high. There are many organizations to join, and the Greek life is great. There is something always going on.

Lots of good clubs once you are over the age of 21.

Parking is a mess at certain times of the day! As for cost I go two days a week and my parking pass was $150.00. For other prices you can go to UNCC website and it'll provide you with all costs.

The financial aid department at UNC Charlotte is pretty good. I was helped everytime I spoke with someone and they are good about working with you when it comes to payment plans. Just make sure you get your FAFSA done as quickly as possible, just in case something goes wrong you will have adequate time to fix it.

The apartments around campus are plentiful, fairly close, and nice looking. They aren't the cheapest though, and it's a hassle trying to find a guarantor so that you can get an apartment.

I haven't gotten a chance to really enjoy on campus food but the places that I have gone too have a variety from Asian to American. There are several fast food areas around campus including Wendy's, Bojangles, and Chic-Fil-A. They even provide areas for you to just sit and relax and maybe even study if you needed. For example the coffee shops are usually a nice, relaxing area for you to enjoy coffee and read a book. Although I have never tried, I have also heard that the cafeterias around school are pretty good as well.

Here at UNCC, you don't hear much about drug usage. It isn't a huge deal here. It just really depends on the people you surround yourself with and how they influence you. My roommates and I are pretty good at not bringing in people who do those kinds of things into our house or enviroment. If anything around campus, it would just be drinking and smoking for the most part.

Sports here at UNCC whether it be varsity or intramural are very important to the school and fans. We are now building a football stadium for our upcoming football team which I'm sure everyone is quite excited about. Our varsity men's soccer team is also doing very well each year. Intramurals are also very important to the students. If you enter our recreation center, you will see that many students practice everyday whether it be for soccer, football, rugby, etc. It is a great environment, especially if you are a sports lover, because there are many gyms and workout areas you can go to here at UNCC.

Depending on what you are looking for here in Charlotte many of the apartments surrounding campus are fairly expensive for the average college student. They range from $300 to $1,000. Even though many are expensive there are a variety, where you can actually live with other roommates and still have your own bed and bath. Where I live, I the only things I share with my roommates are the living room and kitchen. This is a plus because I don't have to fight over bathrooms. Another pro is that electricity and water is paid for and I don't have to worry too much about that unless the roommates and I go over the limit of usage. Our landlord is also helpful and friendly. He usually comes over every now and then to check on how the roommates are doing. Another pro is that a variety of stores and restaurants are about walking distance which makes it very convenient since I don't have a car. There are so many apartment complexes surround campus so you can't miss any of them.

The night life of charlotte is awesome. There are bars for both 18+ and 21+. There is a lot to do in Charlotte and it is tons of fun. They have a lot of frat parties as well as many bars and clubs to go out too.

It is very hard to find scholarships that aren't for juniors or seniors of adult students. Most are based off of financial need, so coming from a middle class family, I have gotten no scholarships.

Health & Safety:
The University tries extremely hard to keep campus safe during the day and at night. There is crime on campus every once in a while, but my experience with campus police has been pleasant. I feel safe most of the time.

Guys & Girls:
There are all kinds of people at UNCC. There are plenty of Sorority and Fraternity type people who dress to the t and plenty of alternative style people on campus. There is plenty of racial and cultural diversity as UNCC is a big exchange school in NC.

Plenty of students attend the sport events and show an immense amount of school spirit. In fall of 2013, we will finally have a football team, and I assume that the student involvement in sports will be at an all-time high. We're all excited and support our teams!

The nightlife scene exists only Uptown. The only downfall of this is that it's a good twenty minute drive from campus. However, transportation isn't much of a problem because there are buses that transport students to uptown, which is wonderful because it gives you an opportunity to meet other fellow students. There is a lot to do, especially on Thursday nights, for underage students. You can get in free to many clubs just by being a student!

The drug scene isn't very noticeable unless you're hanging out with people who participate in such activity. On a regular day, you're almost sure to find tobacco smokers, and every once in a while you will find a bold person smoking marijuana in broad daylight. On the weekends, alcohol is everywhere. However, the cops are steadily doing their job of shutting down parties with drugs and alcohol. Parties don't last long on campus. I haven't had much experience with peer pressure but it definitely depends on the crowd that one associates with.

I feel there are choices for every type of eater on campus and any time of the day you can find food.

My campus has everything from sports to holiday events to even political events and ethnic events every week on campus. There s something to accommodate everyone. We have every sport imaginable and students always come out to cheer on their fellow 49ers during games. Basketball is the biggest sport currently, with football coming in the fall. We also have ethnic awareness and activity awareness in the courtyard outside the Union every few weeks, mainly at the beginning of the year. They also play Zombies versus Humans twice a year and up to 400 people play each time for a month. There is no possible way to be bored or not find something fun to do at any given time on our campus.

I have only just entered the Health Care field this upcoming spring semester and thus far the professors have been helpful in regards to providing me with information about the major and the classes.

Haven't had any snow yet this year but it has been cold on quite a few days. The heaters are usually slow to react to the temperature change and some classrooms are saunas while others are igloos.
