It's Not Too Crazy – The weather is good but it just gets really cool sometimes at night.
College Sophomore 2012-04-20T18:29:33Z
Transportion is pretty easy and there is easy access to it on campus

Very Good – The campus is small enough to feel intimate but is diverse enough that you can walk from one area to the next and get a whole new feel from the students. Charlotte is a great city as well, and you are close enough to down town to go have fun, but far enough away that when you leave you don't have to worry about it.

Never Overly Harsh – The policies at UNCC, and their enforcement are both fair. If you do something you aren't supposed to and get caught you will be punished accordingly.

The food is consistent which is helpful, you will always know what you are eating. The bigger issue is that the food isn't what I would call spectacular or overly inviting.

The weather is Charlotte is on another level! The sun was shining all winter long. This past winter everyone looked liked they were dressed for two different climates. We know that it's winter but the weather said other wise. I love the Charlotte weather, all the bad weather seems to skip over the Queen City.

Everyone loves and admires the greeks we have on campus. We have any fraternity or sorority you can think of. There is even greek housing available, Greek Village, but not every greek organization has a house.

The College Life! If I didn't love living on campus I would move off campus. There is public transportation that will bring you to and take you from school, free printing, free parking, a gym, swimming pool and much more. The price is cheaper than living on campus.

The campus gym is great, it can get crowded at times but they offer a great variety of fitness classes that are fun. The library is a great place to study, it is very roomy and you can reserve your own room for study or project purposes. The campus all together is beautiful, its a great place if you like to run outside as well as safe.

The only drug scene that I have seen or heard of at UNC Charlotte is some kid yelling from a window about meth. The kid was asking if anybody had any crystal meth, thats about it.

The Charlotte Atmosphere – The Atmosphere in which UNC Charlotte is located is very diverse and is a fun place to live and go to school. UNC Charlotte is more in a suburb of Charlotte, so it isn't exactly in the center of the bustling city of Charlotte, but that is what makes it great. It is a fun place to go to school.

Health & Safety:
Crime on Campus – They generally inform students about incidents on campus. They have emergency alarms everywhere. I only feel unsafe walking alone st night, during the day it is a secure campus
College Junior 2012-04-03T22:04:30Z
There are two buffet style cafeterias on campus, an Out Takes (convenient style stores) on different corners of the campus, and different variety of places to eat around campus if someone doesn't want to eat at the cafeterias. There's Bojangles, subs areas, Wendy's, Chik-fi-la, Salsaritas and so much more.

Resourceful and Accessable – The Atkin's Library is opened 24 hours five days out of the week. There are printers available on the first and second floor, but the negative part is that you have to pay in order to print. There are computer labs for certain broad majors within the school. Engineers and business have many computer labs for students majoring in those subjects have access to those computers and printers. Even though there is always plenty of computers available, it helps to have a personal computer or printer because you can work wherever you please. There is wireless literally all over campus. Since it cost to print, having your own printer is very convenient. I live in one of the freshman dorms that has computers and a printer for students to use, and it's free. That's very convenient for me. If I have friends who need to print something, I still have to let them in if they do not live in the building because there's a security card scan.

I love UNC Charlotte! The campus is beautiful, the classes aren't all that bad, and most of the teachers are friendly. There are so many organizations to join and they offer so much to the students. I'm an Elementary Education major and the College of Education is awesome. They really try to make you feel prepared and welcomed. The only thing I'm not to crazy about is that most of the events are at night and I don't live on campus, so it's hard for me to come.

Health & Safety:
Safety Is Key – I live off campus and have to commute to get there. Not only do we have the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), we also have fabulous on campus security. Charlotte is unsafe in my opinion but on and around campus you would never know. There are cops on patrol on campus and there are even little poles for emergencies. You can press a button on the poles and security will respond asap!
College Junior 2012-04-01T23:03:56Z
The parking on campus is not to expensive but could still be cheaper. There are always plenty of spots to park at anytime during the week.
College Junior 2012-04-01T23:01:52Z
Good Diiversity – At Charlotte there are quite a few of different races and a good amount of all of them.
College Junior 2012-04-01T23:00:21Z
Lots to Do – Charlotte is a big city with lots of stuff to do such as NBA basketball games nascar and lots of high end malls.

The crime rate at the off-campus housing is somewhat high. You sometimes get emails about break-ins. Since it is college living, a lot of people complain about the noise. The security officers don't really do anything. The biggest problem would probably be break-ins. The off-campus housing is a little expensive.
College Senior 2012-03-30T15:57:04Z
Our campus has many labs you can go to that have computers. We have a lot for use in the library. You can even check out a laptop at both the library and the Student Union. Printing on campus is very cheap. Some of the dorms even have computer labs in them where the printing is free. The wireless internet is not bad at all.
College Senior 2012-03-30T15:54:06Z
Drug Use on Campus – The drug scene isn't large at all. You hear about it but there's rarely any police reports about it. You're going to find it anywhere though. If any drugs at all are being used, it's marijuana. It's not huge though. Maybe less than 10%

Guys & Girls:
UNC Charlotte is a very diversed school. You will find multiple types of cultures and ethnicities. There are so many different type of styles and personalities here in Charlotte. One things a lot of the student body has in common is that everyone enjoys the night life in Charlotte. Downtown Charlotte is 15 minutes away from campus which means that most people go clubbing.
College Junior 2012-03-21T21:47:18Z
Good but Tiring. At UNCC I believe the best thing there is Crown Commons dining hall. There is a variety of things. The stations vary from pizza, ethnic food, salads, "home cooking" and other great things. Other places that are in UNCC are Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Salsaritas and Bojangles. Everything is good but I know a lot of students get tired of eating the same thing over and over again.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
