Apartments Are Convenient and Affordable – Most of the off campus apartment options have contracts with the university for good rates. If you decide to get an apartment with a friend/friends, you're going to be paying less money than you would to stay on campus. There are several options for apartments available off campus for you to choose from.

Unique Things – I would definitely say our movie theater is unique. I don't know any other school that has one. Our facilities are really up to date and classrooms are technologically advanced.

Well I'm not old enough to drink but there are plenty of places for underage fun. There are a couple of 18 and up clubs downtown including Butter, Pheonix, Suite, and others that are pretty cool. They is usually a party going on on campus or within a couple miles of campus on weekend nights. So there is always something to do and if not we have a movie theatre on campus that shows recent movies which is always nice.

They are in average condition. Sometimes they can be a little slow but they serve their purpose. During the day, everyone is using them so the availability is sometimes scarce but overall its good.

I personally do not have a car on campus, but parking is awful here! Honestly unless you have an off campus job or are lame and go home every weekend, don't bring your car! Parking permits cost a TON of money, and parking spaces can be hard to find in the places you need them. And Parking Services are not the most loved people on campus, they are kind of rude and love writing tickets.

Dining Near UNCC – There's a lot of stuff right in the University City area, popular chain restaurants and fast food and some are even in walking distance if you're feeling ambitious. There's tons of coupons and cheap deals and flyers that are always being given out on campus, so take advantage of that and you'll save a lot of money.

For the most part, things are pretty good here. As long as you stay on top of things and interact with your professors when you need help or have questions. Classes can be big, but you just have to put in the work. Certain departments are a lot better than others, and you learn that as time goes but there's many different supplements to courses such as tutoring and academic success workshops so if you seek those out when having trouble, things should be pretty good for you here.

Get Your Money's Worth – I did not have any problems with my financial aid and got the max that I could get; however, it would have been nice to get a little bit more to cover food expenses since I live off-campus.

There are many places that offer student discounts which is very helpful!

Queen City – The campus is great, but I feel stuck to the campus. Charlotte is a big city, but the main attraction seems to be uptown Charlotte which gets pretty old after the third visit.

North Carolina as every knows is very hot. This year we have had an earthquake and a hurricane. None of which effected school. Hot summers and cold winters. When it snows, it snows. Haven't been through a winter yet, but we will see.

Student Union – The facilities at UNC Charlotte are awesome. The student union is very easy to get around. It has lots to do like hang out with friends at Wendy's. The book store has lots of clothes for parents when they come and visit.

So Much Out There – Charlotte is a very big city. It has the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Concord Mall. It is a very busy city and has lots of people. The school doesn't have a football team as of yet but soon will and that is awesome.

Good School – UNCC is a good school to go to. It's a very big campus, but there is always something to do. The only downside is there is so many students who go here, that there is scarce parking. Also parking passes are sooooooo expensive.

Atkins Library at UNC-Charlotte – The library on campus is a great place to study and read. The staff is very helpful. The library is also open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you don't like to be in the library too late, there is security around as well as other staff members so you won't feel alone.

NINER NATION, Baby! I honestly have yet to meet an unpleasant person! Upperclassmen are inclusive of freshman, willing to help, and very friendly. I have met some people already in the first week that I know I will be friends with for the rest of my life. There is alwayss something going on here, and always someone willing to go with you. We have free zumba that is a ton of fun, lots of school spirit, and free stuff ALL THE TIME! (: Charlotte is the best in the world!

Food Is FANTASTIC – Probably the best place to eat on campus is Crown Commons. You use your meal plan to go to a buffet style that just re-introduced Wing Sundays! There is always a variety of cuisines to choose from, and everything that I have tried thus far has been spectacular. There are two other dining halls located farther from my dorm, so I have yet to venture to those. Another great option is the Prospecter, home to Chick-fil-a among other vendors. We also have a Bojangles and Wendy's on campus, as well as Starbucks, our own Bistro49, and Mama Leone's pizza. Also, Freshens Smoothies and Breuger's Bagels. Interesting Fact: at sporting events, you can use your Declining Balance (flex dollars) at the concessions stands!!!

Elementary and Special Education – I don't really know much about the job opportunities yet, but as a Teaching Fellow I have a lot of opportunities to be involved in the community. The College of Education is easy to maneuver, and is beautiful. My workload fluctuates between nothing and then all of a sudden a load is dropped on me. The program itself is very helpful and the staff in the College of Education are all helpful and so nice; they are willing to help you in whatever you need help with. Also, Charlotte has a program where students who wish to get a dual licensure in Elementary and Special Education, as I do, apply for a special program after their freshman year, which is going to be competitive considering the amount of interest!

Health & Safety:
Dark and Healthy – Its dark at night. There should be more lights to illuminate the various paths in and around the buildings. The heath center is new and seems efficient. There have been numerous reports of attack or burglary of studies roaming the campus at night, as well as break-ins to off campus student apartments.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
