The facilities on campus are amazing! The student union has a movie theater, the library has tons of quiet places to study and a nice cafe, there are plenty of places to get coffee, and they are all very clean. I wouldn't say they're modern since chalkboards are still in use but they make do.

When I came to college I thought I was going to be able to get away with a lot of things. This, however, seems to not be the case. Attendance is monitored, drinking/drugs are monitored, and pretty much anything else you would imagine a college student doing is also kept to a minimum on campus.

I've lived in Charlotte all my life and I've always enjoyed the "downtown" atmosphere. However, I am currently residing on campus at UNCC and I am without transportation to the big city. The bus lines are hard to understand so I am stuck on campus. Charlotte does have many festivals though, one of my favorite has always been their New Years Eve party. It's a blast with loud music, fireworks, and beautiful lights.

Most of the students in Greek life that I know are really nice and not your typical Greek type. They do a lot of community involvement events and are very prominent on campus. It depends on which sorority or fraternity it is, but some are pretty bad when it comes to partying and drinking.

One thing that this school is very strict on is the honor code and cheating. If you cheat or plagarise, there are very serious consequences. You automatically fail the course and suspended from the university. They are also really strict on parking. Parking fees have pretty much paid for football on campus if that gives you any idea of how many violations they charge.

There are a lot of students that do drugs and drink a lot but does not affect the experience on campus. If they do these things, it is usually in private or at party off-campus. I have never felt pressured to take part in this but it all depends on who you hang out with.

I don't have the best review of this because I don't partake in much nightlife but this school is just minutes away from dowtown Charlotte. There are a lot of clubs, bars, and fun things to do there. Most activities, however, are only good for 21 and up. On campus, there are a lot of parties that go on but I don't know how great they are.

UNC Charlotte is very diverse. You will meet all kinds of people here with different backgrounds financially, religiously, politically and ethnically.

Unfortunately, the school spirit here is pretty low but it has increased since we have football now. I am not able to attend most athletic games, but there is a big population of students that take part in these events. The games are a lot of fun and the teams are pretty good!

Guys & Girls:
UNC Charlotte is very diverse so you will find guys on all ends of the spectrum. There are the preppy frat guys, hipster artsy guys, athletic jocks, nice guys, and the geeks. So whatever your type may be, UNC Charlotte has it.

There are a lot of places to choose from around campus. Most of them offer student discounts and are open late. The only problem is that there are not many healthy options. Most places are either quick (Jimmy Johns, pizza, etc..) or sit down places that are kind of expensive. The food is great, but if you want to eat healthy and are on a budget, you will have a tough time.

There are usually availability to computers on campus but it is very difficult to find one during mid-terms and finals.I recommend having your own laptop for those times and the ease of access, but UNC Charlotte does a great job of providing that service. The Wireless is pretty good too. Sometimes it can be slow, but they are always working on improving it.

I have never lived in an apartment off campus, but I do have quite a good number of friends that do. The location is great, rent is cheap, and the overall quality of the apartment is good. There are a lot of apartments to choose from with a range of prices. They offer some pretty nice places to stay if you can afford it.

This school is so great. The thing I love about it is that while it's a large university, it feels small. I always run into people I know and it forms such a great community. Plus, the campus is beautiful! I have enjoyed every bit of my three years here and now that we have football, it makes the experience even better.

UNC Charlotte has a hugely diverse population of students no only ethnically but also involving the LGBTQ population.

Our campus dining options are great! I love all the coffee shops!
College Sophomore 2013-10-24T13:49:12Z
I live in an apartment complex that is considered off-campus; however, I can walk to my classes in the morning in under 10 minutes. It's perfect and convenient, and it's not too expensive.

I do not have an internship at the moment. My major is education, so therefore I will be student teaching within a middle school next year, and I am very excited for this opportunity. Student teachers do not get paid, but the experience is what matters.

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte contains a very diverse campus. There are many different races as well as cultures. There are many African Americans, and also many Indians. This is different from me because of my very rural high school experience, but for me it is a very awesome experience. There seems to be complete acceptance of all forms of diversity on campus, but most importantly, there is pride.

Everyone has to have an internship during their senior spring as an exercise science major. The internship is equal to 9 class credit hours.

First you have to be pre-kinesiology until you can enter the upper division. A lot of the prerequisites (chem, bio, anatomy) are hard so make sure you enjoy science before you decide to be a kinesiology major.
College Senior 2013-10-20T16:24:28Z
I enjoy my major, and would probably choose it again.
College Senior 2013-10-20T16:23:39Z
I'm an exercise science major which I enjoy. However, coming into college undecided put me at a disadvantage, as I didn't find my major until the spring of my freshman year.

Parking on UNCC can be hassle. They have provided the students and faculty over 4 parking decks, and 8 lots to park in! It is just a matter of getting through traffic! So I would arrive at leave 20 minutes prior!
College Sophomore 2013-10-17T05:14:00Z
There are several restaurants around the University area. There are several different dining, inexpensive, options ranging from fast food, to American, Chinese and Japanese foods! Some of the places offer students discounts in a certain time frame! A good place to check out that offers a discount is Bad Dogs Pub, but make sure you have your Student ID!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
