The university is not that must different from others when it comes to the basic needs for a college student. However, The diversity of people from different backgrounds set's it apart from any other major university that i know of. You learn lots of new thing when placed in environments of such.

The financial aid process is very convenient. The staff works fast and try their absolute best to get students the financial aid they need to receive their degree. I have heard nothing but the same from classmates as well.

The University if North Carolina at Charlotte is great when it comes to the amount and the quality of resources that they offer, it shows awesome diversity. You can just about travel the whole world within the campus. No matter what your interest may be i guarantee that there is some type of organization that's up and active.

The curriculum is not very challenging. If you put the work in that you need to there should be no problem getting the grade you need. The teachers will help you in you ask them.

I just started with my program but overall it's been ok. The counselor aren't very helpful and the classes we are required to take don't really pertain to what I want to do.

I plan on doing an internship this upcoming year. I think it is very important because we are exposed to what we could be doing after college and it puts our foot in the door. It also gives us a great experience!

Charlotte is a huge place and there are many places to eat. There are a ton of good places to eat right off campus that are not that expensive and very close to school.
College Sophomore 2013-07-28T20:16:33Z
there are many off-campus housing opportunities around UNC charlotte. as Charlotte is a very big city there are many opportunities for many things.

With an athletic training major clinical and observation hours are required and this is also done outside of class hours so it takes up extracurricular time. The athletic training major is an upper division major so it is demanding and hard.

Financial aid was normal, and regular procedure. Fair prices

Dorms are awesome and cheap for what you get. Big commuter school, so not many people on campus over the weekends. Lots of apartments surround the campus. Dorms are mainly located at the center of campus.

It never snows, but the heat in the middle of the day during fall or spring can be uncomfortable. There is a good amount of rain and wind

The Belk College of Business is great, there are some really great professors and interesting classes. There are also quite a few events each semester focused on becoming closer to the staff and they care about how you learn and how you are doing in classes.

greeks are very involved on campus and is fairly big. Some non-greeks think that being greek is a bad thing but generally it is because they are uninformed. There is a greek village on campus where all (panhellenic) sororities and a few fraternities have houses. The houses are big (most have 28 rooms) where you have your own bedroom and share a bathroom with one other person.

I currently live in one of the many Off-Campus housing options at UNCC. I don't particularly like to live with other girls, especially ones I don't know. The place I live is a big party place and the grounds can tend to be a mess. But new management just recently came in and I am already seeing improvements. They are not all like this. There is plenty to choose from and they all seem to be very affordable. However, I am still moving into my own apartment at the end of my lease.

I am not personally affiliated with Greek Life at UNCC but there are plenty of fraternities and sororities on campus that anyone could find the right one for them. They always have some sort of event going on, and are very involved with the school.

I used to park on campus. But it was nearly impossible to find a parking spot everyday and I paid nearly $450.00 for a parking pass just to be on campus for about 2 hours a day. I'd rather walk.

In the immediate University City area there are numerous grocery stores, fast food type restaurants, and a few sit down style restaurants. I personally prefer to drive about 5-10 minutes (any direction) off of campus and you will find a ton of restaurants with a variety of atmospheres and flavors, so there is always a new place to go out to eat, and you'll never be dissatisfied.

Charlotte is a huge city with plenty options for things to do; whether you love the outdoors, or are more of a social city-goer, Charlotte is perfect for anyone. The University of Charlotte itself has so much to offer. I personally love the vast diversity of people that attend the school and the incredible professors. I am always receiving emails from local businesses about their interest in hiring students from UNCC specifically, so it gives me a great deal of comfort about finding a job in such a competitive city.

Students are full of spirit! We are all excited for the football season to start.

I live off campus so don't experience much of the "nightlife". Downtown Charlotte always has something going on, for all ages!
