College Prowler Take
Students who attend Carolina are often happy with their choice—even if it wasn’t their first. UNC is surrounded by a great college town, is one of the most prestigious public schools in the nation, and is one of the most diverse schools in the nation. The list goes on and on. What more could a college student ask for? At times, yes, Carolina can seem a little redundant and repetitious, but so can any other school. However, if you find a good group of friends and find your niche at Carolina, you’ll always find something new around the corner. This book is proof that your good experiences will outweigh your negative experiences by a ton at Carolina. Yes, there will be run-ins with teachers, failed midterms, pop-quizzes, parking catastrophes, shallow people, and messy, annoying roommates. However, that’s a part of college life at any school. It doesn’t take long to adjust to Carolina. It’s mainly common sense—hang out with old friends, make new friends, party, take a weekend trip or two (but don’t forget to bring along your books). Students who attend UNC realize that they are receiving a great college education and an even better college experience.

Overall, I am glad I attend UNC at Chapel Hill because it’s a well-known school throughout the nation. However, I do at times wish I were somewhere else because the social life for blacks is not that great. Academics can also be threatening when you walk into a class and you’re the only black person or minority. Your success at Carolina will depend on your goals and how focused you are. My only advice is to not get caught up in the party scene your first year. |

This school was not my first choice, but I’m glad that I ended up here. It’s small enough so that you’re not a nameless face in the crowd, but it’s big enough that you can never stop meeting people and learning new things about the campus. The teachers, even those who teach classes with more than 400 people, try their best to be available to a student who needs one-on-one attention. |

I absolutely love Carolina. It was the best decision I ever made to go here, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. UNC is truly the complete package. It’s one of the best public schools in the nation, has a great location, superb athletics, amazing tradition, good weather, and great school colors. Once you enroll, your blood will run Carolina blue forever. |

My overall experience here at UNC...
My overall experience here at UNC is one that I will always remember. There are great people, teachers, and students all around. I have found lifelong, strong friendships here, as well as the one girl who I feel is my true love. Point being, UNC has a lot to offer. I suggest not missing out! |

I couldn’t have picked a better, more well-rounded school to go to. Academically, it’s really challenging. Socially, there’s always something to do. Diversity is something that’s really embraced. And we’re the Tar Heels—sports are great! |
