Jacksonville is a great place to have a college. There are many things to do. 15 minutes north of the school is the city, 5 minutes west of the school is shopping, and 10 minutes east is the beach. There are plenty of job opportunities considering there are tons of stores near the school. The local attitude towards students I have not really noticed because UNF is not really that large. A few businesses give discounts, but not that many.

Jax is a massive town, coming from a small mountain town in Colorado it was great to see such a difference in living. Jacksonville has layers of nice/not so nice striations. Block to block things completely vary, there are bars, clubs, and much more. Anything a metropolitan area typically has Jacksonville has as well. Here's the break down: South side is where the college is located, to the West it get COUNTRY, the the East you have the beaches which kick-ass, and North is the ghetto. Some things to try are Angie's Subs and Taco Lu. Oh and these roads are important Beach and JTB some roads to avoid would be Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd it takes you straight to the heart of the inner city.

Around the University, about 15 minutes away is the Beach,
within a mile away there is a shopping mall, restaurants and more...
other than that, cost of living... because it is near the shopping mall it is not cheap for a college student to enjoy but our University has many partnership within the restaurants that holds many discounts

Jacksonville has a lot to offer with plenty of shopping locations, activities and cultural events. It's also a NFL city, despite having a terrible team, and there are plenty of events every month.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
