Hi Katie, I was wondering if you could help me. I'm attending Unf in the fall as a transfer student and was hoping to get any recomendations on housing. I've been thinking of the flats at kernell, or the fountains, which do you think is the best place to live as a junior? I would really appreciate your help since I have not gotten any.
The fountains and the flats are very different things, one is a dorm and one is an apartment. The dorms are great when you first move here because you get more of an opportunity to meet people, especially if you are moving here from out of town. I have been living in the fountains for about 2 years & I started out as junior, it has been very convenient having a store & grill downstairs plus the gym and pool tables. Also you never have to worry about parking before class because you will already be on campus. But it also has the downside of if you get bad roommates and the fact that you are basically living in a cubicle. I can't wait to start living in an apartment but I have enjoyed living here. However, if I had the money I probably would have chosen to live off campus the second year. One more thing, before choosing an apartment I would definitely look at reviews online. Hope that helps!
