College Prowler Take
The facilities on campus are kept very clean and are constantly being upgraded. Sometimes, they’re kept so clean and so nice that the amount of tuition that goes to place old cherry wood paneling throughout the student union bathrooms seems a little excessive. However, after the initial shock, and if you try not to think about the money it costs to keep the stadium lights on all night in order to do construction, OU is a more than comfortable place to inhabit. The campus itself is beautifully landscaped and kept incredibly clean. The Student Union, as well as the athletic facilities, are top-of-the-line. The Union has many popular places to eat, including many fast food chains like Quiznos, Wendy’s, and Chick-fil-A. It also provides activities to participate in, as well as comfortable places to study or chat with a friend. Comfortable leather chairs often present a sleeping hazard when trying to study for an exam. The workout facility, or Huffman, has all the top-of-the-line workout equipment, locker rooms, and aerobic classes. The University of Oklahoma’s facilities are definitely one of the stronger reasons to attend the school.

Campus is absolutely beautiful. I had already sent in my acceptance to another college when I got to visit. The campus changed my mind. It is really green with tons of trees. The facilities are really good. |

Everything is top-notch. The student union is an awesome site in itself, as are the library and all of the buildings. The computers are as current as any I have seen at a college. They’ve doubled the size of the weight room, and doubled the number of racquetball and basketball courts. |

The athletic facilities, from varsity to IM to workout facilities, are top-notch. The computer facilities are pretty good compared to some schools I’ve visited, and the student union is huge, with tons of studying/meeting/eating space and everything you can think of from a post office to copy center to another bookstore to offices. It’s huge. |

Athletic centers are super nice. They built a new indoor practice field for football, and they’ve added onto the baseball and basketball arenas. Also, there are brand new tennis courts, and a completely redone stadium. Huffman is the gym for non-varsity students. There are lots of weights and cardio machines, many indoor racquetball and basketball courts, and an indoor track. It offers several aerobics and kickboxing classes. |
