The guys and girls on campus are good-looking, and most of them know it. The sororities and fraternities tend to produce carbon copies of one another, but if that’s your style, then you will be in dating heaven, and if you break up with someone, then you are sure to find someone else who reminds you of “the one that got away.” Generally, people here are attractive and strangely tan no matter what the season—fake and bake. Sexual promiscuity is a big deal on any college campus, and to say that OU is any different would be inaccurate. Because freshmen can become overly excited and behave in a fashion that allows them to become “accepted,” random hookups early on in the careers of OU students are not uncommon. Some students never stray from the “playas” philosophy of one-night stands, while others become interested in settling down into committed relationships as they mature and get older. It is important to remember that STDs are very common among college students, and if you decide to partake in sexual activities, always use protection. Students Speak Out

The guys are cute, but I’m from New York, and so my taste in guys is different. There are some hicks, but it’s not too bad. The girls are cute, but there are a lot of Texas girls and a lot of small towners. Both are really nice. |

The girl to guy ratio is about 51:49. It’s really balanced, and speaking from a guy’s perspective, there are a number of hot girls, and I think the girls are generally pleased with the quality of the guys as well. |
FactsBirth Control Available?
Yes - Birth control is available at Goddard Health Center. Condoms are provided for free outside the classrooms of the Houston Huffman Fitness Center and on the second floor of the Union as well.
Social Scene
Greek date parties are very popular, especially among freshmen students. However, the recent dry rule on campus has increased the popularity of off-campus house parties. As soon as everyone turns 21, they move it to the local bars where going out becomes more of a formal occasion.
Hookups or Relationships?
Of course, there are a lot of hookups on the weekend but relationships are very present. A fad among many students is getting engaged and/or married while still in college.

Classes! Where else can you talk to someone without a radio blaring and without the pressure that a hall party or bar puts on you?
Dress Code
During the day, people wear whatever they want to classes, including pajamas. At night, you would think you were at a fashion show in Milan—the dress code changes drastically at bars and hall parties. Sorority girls go to Dallas on their breaks and on weekends and buy the latest fashions and spend their parent's money on a Louis Vuitton clutch or bookbag.
