College Prowler Take

For most students, the on-campus cafeteria food gets
old after the first few weeks of school. In most cases,
the food is not very good in the first place—let’s face
it, cafeteria food does not come close to being as good as a home-cooked meal. So, eventually, students begin to look elsewhere for nourishment.

Off-campus dining simply has a better selection for those times when you just can’t stand to have another number three with waffle fries. There are plenty of chain restaurants to choose from, as well as some independently-owned gems in the city. There is definitely more variety outside of the campus walls. You can find anything from sushi to barbeque. Oklahoma City is only 20 minutes north on the highway, and it offers many new restaurants for students to try as well. There is a ton of variety and a match for everyone’s tastes around the city for when you are sick of eating the same thing over and over again. The prices are reasonable and cater to every type of financial status. While there are many places to eat on campus that have edible food, most people like variety. So, it is important to find restaurants off-campus for those times when you just can’t take eating on campus anymore.

Restaurants off campus are good. We mostly have the same chain places as any other town. Charleston is good if you’re looking for a nicer atmosphere, and the Mont has great food and is more of a younger crowd.
