College Prowler Take
The weather in Norman is about as unpredictable as the student quotes in this book. When the weather is good it’s absolutely beautiful, and when it’s bad it can get really horrible. The spring and fall are the best times of the year when it’s not too hot, but not cold either. The average temperature stays above freezing during the winter, and it can get very hot during the warmer months, so students should have light and comfortable clothes along with heavier clothes for the winter months. Because of the rainy season, students should also make sure that they have some shoes that they don’t mind getting muddy or soaked with water for those rainy days. Seasons vary in temperature, but normally it’s pretty hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s a good idea to have an umbrella with you at all times during the rainy seasons, because you can walk into class and the sun will be out, and leave only to be caught in a monsoon.

The weather is really funny here....
The weather is really funny here. One day it could be 80 degrees, then the next could be 60 degrees. It’s a little windy in the spring, and our winters are kind of cold. But it’s nothing anyone couldn’t stand. Summers are pretty warm. It can get up in the low 100s. Oklahoma weather is difficult to explain because it varies so much. It’s not bad. |

"If You Don't Like the Weather in Oklahoma, Wait 15 Minutes"
B+
Weather in Oklahoma changes rapidly. When you start class it can be sunny and 96 degrees outside. When the class is over, don't be surprised if it's freezing, pouring, gusting, or snowing during your walk back to the dorms. Classes do not usually get cancelled as it does not snow that often. Ice storms do move in during February-March, however, but don't expect any cancellations. Bring a variety of clothing as the temperature can change a great deal during the week. Temperatures usually stay in the 90s during the start of the year, but fluctuate between 30 and 80 during fall. Most of the time it is beautiful outside, though, especially during October, November, March, and April. Thunderstorms can be frequent and tornados do happen, though most buildings have safe areas.
