| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
Career Services is an essential tool for snagging interviews for jobs and internships. Career advisors can help you organize a résumé and give you tips for nailing an interview. If you’re not sure where to apply, Career Services also provides a job and internship database, where you can search by region, type of job, and salary (among other criteria) to help find places to approach. Go over your résumé with someone at Career Services. They will tell you which points to highlight and give useful tips for formatting. Also, go to see guest lecturers who are involved with something you are interested in. You may get to meet them afterwards and gain an excellent opportunity, or you could simply learn something which will make you an even better candidate during an interview.
