There are a lot of papers that have to be written. This gets rather overwhelming when the subjects are not approached until after the paper is due. Some papers are over 4,000 words. It take a lot of time to do a paper every week plus eight discussion sessions and multiple team projects. They should give us a Masters instead of a Bachelors Degree since we put a lot of time and perpetration into it!

My specific major is Health care management and administration. The workload and curriculum is heavy. But the information and the things you learn are interesting and exciting. There are many job opportunities in this field. But I do wish there were internships offered in this particular program.

This school offers so many helpful resources. Phoenix workshops online and on campus for improving math, writing and even job interview skills. This also has a awesome online library with thousands of books and articles for research on various topics.

Exept for one instructor, the experience is what it should be.

I chose an A- because everything was good except one facilitator. She is still teaching even with all the black marks against her. I dropped her class twice! She needs to be dismissed.

Awesome School! I like the University of Phoenix! It's very easy to focus on my classes, and the teachers are very good! My only complaint is the lack of choice of degree types and the lack of federal accreditation.

Classroom Discussions – Through the use of discussion questions provided by the Professor, I am able to learn more on the topic we are learning. Each one of the students provides an answer and the rest of us join in a discussion providing our own experiences. It provides a different view because of the makeup of different backgrounds and cultures. It fosters critical thinking and collaboration. This process also keeps the learning fresh and interesting. I really enjoy the discussion part of it all. It is almost like being in an actual classroom.

Convenience and Counseling Available 24/7 – As I attend classes online, I have found that my Professors and Counselors are always available. I can contact them by phone or email. They have been quick to respond to any questions or concerns that have come up for me. I have different Counselors for different needs. One advises me on classes to take, another advises me on financial aid. Taking classes from home affords me the luxury to work around my daily life of work and family. This is the absolute best choice for me at this time. I am really enjoying my classes too.

You Need Dicipline.. The online classes are perfect for people with families and careers. You can do your coursework as you see fit for your own schedule. The workload is tough, so you need to break down parts into separate days as to not hit overload. The registration process is quick and easy, and an academic is assigned to you. I know each of my professors from the consistent interaction, and I have met many fantastic team members. Both the faculty and peers bring years of experience to the classroom, and this is a great way to make prospective employment contacts. Everyone I have met in the classroom has left a positive influence.

Business Management Experience – University of Phoenix requires general coursework, papers, and power points. The presentations have given me the confidence to speak in front of a room and answer questions without hesitiation. In the beginning, it is stressful. Once you get the hang of it, the confidence is overpowering.

Finacial/Academic Advisors Fantastic – I have been very happy with my advisors. They have always responded quickly with my questions or concerns. I had a fear of returning to college after raising a family, but they helped me ease into the academic atmosphere. Going back to school was the best decision for both me and my family, and I know I needed these individuals to help guide me through a new endeavor.
