Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid has been really helpful for me, because I can not afford to pay for school right now; however, I have had multiple issues recently with receiving my funds on time. For example, I was supposed to receive my financial disbursement by May of this year and did not receive the funds until September, which was a huge problem considering I needed to purchase some very necessary items for school. I do not really agree that the tuition should be so high at this school, especially since students can lose points on their assignments from another team member not doing their own portions correctly. Those students are not paying all of this money for me to go to school here, so why should their work or lack thereof affect my grade?

A typical student at my school works full-time, has children, and married. The school is diverse that are many ethnic groups that attend. Political views, and religious views are different, but that's what makes coming together fun because we learn different things about each other. Whenever I learn of an issue that one of my class mates my have I try and help them solve their problem and not judge. We all understand that things happen in life, moving forward is the best solution to ensure things still get done.

My school is unique because I am a mother of 3 and a wife, but I am able to attend school because my school offers classes one night a week, one class at a time. If my school did not offer this program I would not have the time to continue my education. My experience has been excellent, I have advisers that guide me along the way to ensure that I complete the program. If I could do it all over again I would still choose University of Phoenix. I would choose it because it gave more confidence that I can complete my degree, and through all the stress in my life this program motivated me to continue to do my best. It also gave me the motivation to continue my education to get my Masters Degree, before I came to this school that was not a goal for me. I really appreciate how the University of Phoenix help me complete my goals in life.

Most of the instructors at UoP are wonderful. I've only come across one that I wasn't entirely impressed with. They seem to care that you really learn and understand the material.
The curriculum aligns very well with the courses. The material has been relevant.

The programs that my school has is great for those returning to school after a good deal of time. There are programs to check for grammar errors, online math tutorials, blogs, online library, and links to assist with classes and student loans.

I do not believe that learning teams are a productive learning tool for many of the classes offered. This extends mostly to the general education classes. This practice, in my experience, has only grouped people together who most are not involved in school leaving one or two people doing most of the work. Outside of this, classes have been educational and the teachers seem to geniunely care about teaching and helping the students.

I am a busness/accounting major. My classes so far have not been part of the specifics of my degree.

I attended school online, so my experience was different from those that attend a traditional school. The learning process is based purely on how much I am willing to learn and teach myself. Most professors were helpful when needed, however I did have a few of professors that were not helpful at all and just refereed me to the syllabus or a you-tube video. There are many programs to choose from and the class registration process is very easy.

University of Phoenix allowed me to complete my degree at home. They also have resources such as an online library, a plagiarizer checker and many more online resources. They also have tutors, and campus classes if you chose to be in a regular classroom setting. My health care degree curriculum was challenging. I studied curriculum from the business and medical side of health care. The workload also depended on the classes and the teacher. Overall experience and learning ability was great.

I Love My School – I absolutely love the University of Phoenix. Everyone there is willing to help when needed and take pride in their work. I love that the school has the largest online library in the world. I am very reassured that I will succeed tremendously at the University of Phoenix.

Awesome Programs Available – The one thing I am most impressed with is the breadth of options available to help the students succeed. From their online library, to the programs to format papers, to the workshops and tutoring available. I really do feel like they are doing what they can to help you succeed.

Mostly Happy – I am happy with my decision to enroll with UOPX. The only down side is they did not make sure they had all their ducks in a row prior to getting me signed up for classes. I am currently ready for my first official class after orientation classes, but am being told they are having trouble verifying my high school records. Just got told this 4 days prior to my next class started. Seems this should have been taken care of a while ago. Aside from that, the advisors are great and the OLS is awesome.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial Advisors – So far my experience with the financial advisors has been limited, but not extremely helpful. They need to understand that not everyone knows that much about the process and be able to explain and lay things out so that everyone can understand the process. I am lucky to receive help from work, and do believe what I will have to pay is worth the education.

Business Major – I'm just beginning, but so far everything seems good. The workload hasnt been too overwhelming and the professor seems to do everything she can to ensure you have what you need to be succesfull. THe campus is a great place to be for class and side line study time. I am excited about the program I'm taking which is a Business major with a concentration in Project Management. I believe this will be very beneficial to me in my career.

Since I have been attending the University of Phoenix I love my experience there. There is fresh cappuccino, or coffee for students to get their day started for free. Whether they attend morning or night classes. The teacher's try to connect with each student, and the class sizes are small enough for students to really interact with each other.

For the most part the curriculum at University of Phoenix is good. However, I do feel that there is some unnecessary graded assignments that do not coincide with the other material that is being taught with in the classroom. The curriculum does not help with the final exams and students passing rate. Every final exam that I have taken thus far has been the same percentage. I think that the assignments should be able to be submitted before midnight the day of the class. How will I able to do an assignment that has not been taught to me and receive full points for it? I feel like as students we are losing out on a correct format of learning.

Besides the class I am in right now, I have had the best experience at University of Phoenix - Nashville. I have been to another university and even a community college, and I have to say that this is the best by far of all schools.

I am in my second to last class of my freshman year. I will be done in 2 weeks with this class. Out of all my professors, she is the only one that I am having a problem with. She is making the class not quite enjoyable. She says one thing about the work but when grading its totally different. The grading has been awful! Other than that, my other professors have been incredible. I am going to be sad that this is the only class that I do not do good in.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am getting all the financial aid I need for school which is awesome! Not happy that the tuition goes up but that is all apart of attending school. I feel I have the best financial aid counselor who answers all my questions.

All Fairness – The school is consists of students that are working adults and some with kids. The students get the opportunity to advance their education without the hassle of going to class daily. The school provides a flexible schedule for those working full time jobs. Great for socializing and not to mention have that small classroom setting that most people need to succeed.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
One of the only reasons why I am givining UoPx an A- is because of my enrollment counselor Chris Shelton. He is the sweetest most caring person I've ever met. He really cares about the students who attend UoPx. The entire financial aid process needs to be reevaluated. There were many times I spent hours on the phone with reps that couldn't answer the simpliest questions. My advice is to make a list of questions you have before you call and during your call so that you know exactly what is going on and for future reference.

Unique Learning Style – My school has a very unique learning style that some may consider to be a hindrance and others helpful. Many assignments are based on team work, everyone having a portion of the assignment that they are obligated to turn in timely. Yes it makes the assignment smaller however your grade is dependent upon another person's work ethics.

This school teaches you how to get along with those you may otherwise shy away from in your everyday life. Being able to work with people who are different from you is a recipe for success.
