The housing process just sucks overall.
To the last comment, yes it's bad. You can get lucky and get awesome housing, but that's not likely. After freshmen year, it's pretty tough to get ideal housing so you're most likely going to want to get an off-campus apartment which will be cheaper and nicer! It's not so bad, it's just because in the city there's limited space and therefore housing. Freshmen year is tolerable, it's not awful.
When does the lottery occur and how does it work?
Would you say that you are still connected to the social life at Pitt being farther away? Also, what are the people in honors housing like?
