Getting a scholarship from Pitt is very difficult unless you are in the Honors College or an athlete. I received no financial aid from Pitt. All that they offered me were Stafford Loans. If you need financial aid, it is better to apply for FAFSA and other scholarships that are not Pitt related. We do have a decent financial aid office, and they are very helpful, but you must meet a financial standard before you can be considered for aid or for work study.

Where?

Scholarships are available, but mostly for Merit students or athletes, students with decent grades don't get anything.

Good, but Not Excellent

The process changes from time to time with little warning. The deadlines tend to pass without notice, and sometimes my payments get lost. The aid I got also changed from one year to the other without explanation. Still, I generally got what I needed.
