Cayey is in the mountains of Puerto Rico so it has a nice weather specially in summer when the weather is really hot in the others towns of Puerto Rico.

There is apartments in the sector in front of the university that are the cheapest but they are not so safety. Also there are others apartments more far from campus more safety but more expensive.

I recieved a good financial aid and the process with the financial aid officer is really easy. I just had one problem with my scholarships because the system says that I was graduated when I wasn't so all my scholarships were delayed for one semester until they fix the problem.

No meal plan. It is basically ethnic food. No variety. Prices are high. The students feel obligated to go outside campus to eat.

Restaurants nearby Cayey campus are highly attractive if you enjoy ethnic food.

The Sociology Program on Cayey campus offers an education worth of interdisciplinary experiences. There you can be enrolled in courses that connect different concepts of social behavior studies and build a vision of cultural/global affairs in a more concrete matter. As a result, the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey encourages students to go abroad and come back to share their experience.

I studied for 6 years at the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. I was majoring in Sociology. The faculty is greatly diverse and they brought substance to every matter they discussed in their courses. Class discussions were highly valued and encouraged. They were neatly available to answer any doubt. The overall experience that this University offers is great indeed.

Health & Safety:
I was no part of any campus crime nor similar things, but I had relatives who had their cars stolen.

It was necesarilly what I needed, but I think that with this new school I'm attending, I'll need more help.

Public transportation is rather limited due to the condensed environment surrounding the campus. However, it is very efficient. In addition, the shuttle is also available, and fairly indispensable. Thing is freshmen have very limited parking rights, and the only parking for freshmen is quite a walk away. The shuttle allows students to move about the proximity of the campus.

I haven't have any problems with the financial aid steps, it have been great but still the money doesn't always helps you pay for everything

The safety in the university area and local atmosphere needs a lot pf work because the parking lot for the freshman and second year students is really far away form the school area and the students have to walk a lot including passing streets with a lot of hectic traffic

Pretty Good – The drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18. So, pretty much everyone that is in the University can drink, but it must be outside the campus. University police don't let anyone drink inside, and I think that's good. If you get doing drugs or having a drink inside university campus, you will be in deep problems. But people aren't offended or angry at this rule. So, there's no problem.

Guys & Girls:
Diverse Students – The only thing that makes me give the university a B+, and not an A, is that we need more international students. There are little, almost none. Beside that, the university have students from everywhere and with different fashion styles. They are all usually good to spend time with.

Ok, If You Love PR Food – The campus dining is a cafeteria that sells food that usually is eaten in Puerto Rico. They also sell hamburgers and tacos. Not much variety. Although, the rice and chicken are really good. Healthy food, like baked potatoes, are served.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
