Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The University has made great efforts over the last several years to draw students to campus by expanding the housing options on campus. This effort has helped to create the residential community the school now enjoys. One popular option for upperclassmen is the on-campus houses owned by the University. Greek students have the option of living in the Greek houses, which are also owned by the University, and upperclassmen have their choice of any dorm they wish to live in.

Freshmen live in one of nine well-kept residence halls, which are arranged in two quadrangles on the north and south sides of campus. Each building has recreational areas, vending machines, kitchen facilities, coin-operated laundry machines, a television lounge, a piano lounge, and study areas. If you are not a big fan of communal bathrooms, you can opt for suite-style living after freshman year. Those who do share a bathroom with their entire floor have little to worry about; cleaning services keep the facilities decent and livable, and you will rarely have to wait for a shower.

UPS Campus

Living on campus is fun but students tend to live on only for their freshman year. It is a small campus so you are a short walk from classes, other dorms, the fitness center and the cafeteria/cafe. You meet good friends when living on campus and in dorms and you are more likely to be involved with campus events. The dorms for lowerclassmen are perfectly fine and they are fun. Todd Phibbs and Schiff tend to be the most popular.

Campus Housing

All dorms are very conveniently located. Todd Phibbs offers the smallest dorms. Schiff is known as the "outdoorsy" dorm. You have to fill out an application to live there, but its worth it if you're an athletic and outdoorsy person that wants to meet likeminded people. The theme houses also make Puget Sound awesome. With a group of friends, you can fill out an application to move into one. The university gives you money to put on wholesome parties/activities pertaining to your theme.
