With red brick buildings covered in ivy, connected by arches and walkways through fir trees and green grass, Puget Sound is a beautiful place to spend four or more years. Students have a lot of respect for the well-kept campus and the efforts the employees put in to keep it that way. Several students praise the Fitness Center as being better equipped than the facilities of other schools, and are big fans of the Rock Climbing Wall. While some students enjoy the architecture, others enjoy the recent renovations to several buildings and hope for more in the future.
The buildings are well planned, inside and out. The tennis pavilion is the largest in the state. The athletic facilities are small, but complete, and they are never so full that you have to leave. We have a pool that is open almost all the time for lap swimming, a rock climbing wall, and a pretty extensive weight room, and the student union building is the hub of campus life. In it, students eat at one of eight establishments, check their mail, go to the health center, and get tickets to local concerts and academic presentations. The University is continually undertaking new capital projects—two of the newer buildings on campus are Wyatt, an academic building with several computer classrooms, and Trimble, a suite-style upperclassmen dorm with four to six single rooms that open off of a common area. Overall, the campus is made up of more than just the residence halls, athletic facilities, and academic buildings; all of these fit together nicely to form a beautiful complete University.
