I received the President's Scholarship, which gives me $7k/semester as long as I'm taking 3.0 credits and am enrolled full time. This was based purely on the strength of my application, the strength of my standardized test scores, etc. I believe one may acquire as much as $12k/semester; however, I haven't talked to anyone getting more than $7k/semester like I am. Nice chunk of change for sending in a strong application. It's something to consider, making it worth the applicant's time to look good to the school.

I think Puget Sound does a good job of allocating finanical aid to students that need it. I know I recieved a lot of aid because I applied early decision. Also I know that if you are awarded grand money and then you acquire more scholarship your grant will be taken away some which is a bummer but is how the process works.
