Interviews & Information Sessions

Interviews are not required for admission. If you wish to schedule an interview you can contact the Admissions office at (401) 874-7100.

Campus Tours

Regular Tours are conducted Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours leave from the main lobby of the Memorial Union. There are no Sunday tours and tours will be open during holidays such as Columbus Day, Election Day, and Veterans Day. Tours last approximately an hour and a half. You do not need to make a reservation.

Overnight Visits

Overnight visits are strictly for students who have been accepted and are planning to enroll at URI. Orientation at URI is held throughout the month of June for all incoming students. They spend the night in the dorms and get to know the campus, meet with advisors, register for classes, and get to know the other students. Students interested in being recruited for sports also have the option of spending a night at URI. They are chaperoned by a member of the team that they wish to join and get to experience life at URI as an athlete.
