The dining options a=on campus are very limited. I have eaten on campus a couple times and I have not been all that impressed.

I love small town America. I was raised in a small town and I will always live in a small town. I am not a social butterfly so I am fine with the way it is here. No hustle and bustle is perfectly fine for me.

I have never lived on campus. I live with my parents. I don't take part in any campus activities. I go there to get an education and that is what I intend to keep doing.

I don't have the opportunity ot have internships in my field of study. We live in a rural area where there not much progress or places where a history major can go.

I personally think the scholarships at Rio Grande are pretty good. I've never received any myself, but they are helpful when you get them. I have to take out loans

I would say that the weather isn't bad at all really. When it rains alot, you just get alittle wet

The Rio branch I attend does not have off campus housing. However the off housing at the main branch is great. The main campus is in the back yard.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T05:43:51Z
I attend the branch that is closest to where I live, there is no housing there everyone commutes.

The parking is free where I go but the parking lot gets cluttered easily and can cause wrecks. It is hard to see due to all the cars around and very tight parking.

Not alot of it, unless you drive for about 20 minutes from campus.

We have a lot of older computers. They have updated software but can be slow at times if a lot of people are using them. Each building has a computer lab. The Internet works most the time unless it is over loaded. An the printers only print black an white. It also cost us money to print something of at the school.

The weather situation is not that awful. When it snows we may have a delay, but normally classes are not canceled. For the summer heat we have air conditioning in the buildings an rooms. When it rains we have some road detours due to minor flooding. Other than that our weather is not that bad.

In the town I live in we do not have taxi's , buses, or trains that take you places. If you need to go somewhere you drive yourself, ask a friend for a ride or a relative, drive to an airport, walk, or drive a bike.

Health & Safety:
It is very secure. They have a program for people to sign up for allowing us to receive a text message or email letting us know if something is stolen, if a amber alert is out, if a bad person is on campus, an weather warnings. It is a very good campus they also teach us how to protect ourselves if a gunman would take over.

The great thing is that the first two years have only Community college tuition which is a faction of University tuition. But the last two years the tuition cost does make a big leap.

Student life isn't the greatest but it is a work in progress.

At the college there will be free Wi-fi in the dorms and all of the building which will be nice to have.
College Senior 2013-07-07T00:55:43Z
there are two convenient places in which to use on-site computers and printers and the staff are always ready and willing to help. They are also making sure that the entire college is wireless accessable.

Guys & Girls:
The students at Rio seem to be typically dressed and good-looking for children that age. Social relationships seem to vary by groups and interests. from Pajamas to very well dressed, anyone can fit in at anytime.

Health & Safety:
Campus security and the Rio Grande police are always there, eithor walking the campus or patrolling no safety worries as far as I am concerned.
College Senior 2013-07-07T00:41:54Z
I am a commuter but with all of things that are advertised I imagine it would be a good experience. I know students that have been on campus for years and they haven"t complained.
College Senior 2013-07-07T00:39:11Z
There are 6 places to eat off campus. ranging from italian food to pizza, subs and home cooked style meals. Even a gas station that provides hot food. Not ideal, but you will not starve.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
