Health & Safety:
The student health center is very good, albeit there are long wait times. The campus security does mostly exist to give out parking tickets, but most of them are good people.

Our school has very nice athletic facilities, and I feel that these are some of UR's strong points. However, in terms of varsity sports no one really pays attention to them.

The campus transportation does exist, but it is very unreliable, as it is never on time, and takes more than 2 hours just to get simple things done such as going to the grocery store.

I do not care for most of my professors. I do acknowledge that this is a research university, and as a result professors are here to research, and not neccesarily to teach. There are exceptions, but I do feel this applies to many of my professors. Despite this, the curriculum is excellently designed, but makes it hard to transfer should you wish to do so.

Recently, the administration has been starting to crack down on alcohol and drug use.

The greek life at UR is very good. Most greeks here do not fit the stereotypes seen on TV and movies.

The dining on this campus sucks. Yes, it's all there for you, but it's not healthy, tasty or appetizing.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T17:36:35Z
There are plenty of computers available, but I feel that they should be used in the event of an emergency. You don't need something expensive, but bring your own computer.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T17:35:24Z
The facilities at UR are very nice, there are many new buildings coming up.

UR is located in a city, however we are located near a ghetto and a polluted river. Although people say there is stuff to do, you have to really look for it, and most of the year it's too cold to want to go out. While I do acknowledge the city of Rochester has some attractions, it only suits a very particular type of taste. Outside of visual arts, I feel that there's nothing much to do in the city and there's no opportunity here post-graduation.

Safety and Health services are both good
College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:12:16Z
City is too small to be very vibrant
College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:11:07Z
Decent for students who own cars
College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:09:56Z
Don't know too much about off campus housing
College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:07:18Z
The campus is gorgeous despite being old
College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:04:01Z

College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:02:16Z

College Freshman 2013-11-07T04:00:26Z
Not a big party scene outside of school
College Sophomore 2013-11-05T22:58:03Z
So great. The university pays roughly $45,000 out of the $60,000 tuition through merit alone

I have not met people who tried to pressure me into drinking but they would allow me to if I so chose
Sorry, there are no reviews.
