University of ScrantonCampus Dining Summary

The food at Scranton is top notch. Don't know where they get the number from, but we are supposedly 6th in the nation for food and i do believe that. The food is outstanding. Obviously there are some days where the food isn't amazing but for the most part, it's great. It is mostly catered to non-vegetarians to be honest. However there is a salad bar and they are really working to start having more vegetarian choices (which they've been doing a great job at). I'm sorry if they did not have as much vegetarian food out on the day that you came. They really do try including dishes for vegetarians. But obviously a vegetarian isn't going to have as much of a choice as someone else. To be completely honest, you aren't going to find better food than at Scranton. Every one of my friends who go to different colleges absolutely hate their food. I eat better at Scranton than i do at home! Do not let your one experience with the food hinder you from coming to Scranton. It's such an amazing school with great people and everybody here is in love with it. There was a recent article in our campus newspaper about more vegetarian options and they said that they are going to start trying to include a lot more options for vegetarians. Good luck with your college decision and please consider Scranton :)

A lot of my good friends are vegetarians! there are tons of options you just have to look for them, and often you can ask one of the stations to leave the meat out of it, and they will prepare a new meal with clean cooking utensils!
